Irrigation Training at Flats Mentor Farm
The Northeast Network of Immigrant Farming Projects (NNIFP) was
established in 2002 to share program strategies, network among projects
with similar missions, and to share lessons learned. Partner
organizations include five immigrant and refugee projects in New
England, and several other service providers.

The Northeast Network has continued to work to strengthen the capacity
of the five Immigrant Farming Projects (IFPs) in the northeast, as well
as to create a model for similar projects throughout the country.
NNIFP members meet throughout the year to share farmer training and
technical assistance strategies and “lessons learned.” The network
also plans training activities and other partnership linkages covering
communication, policy, and outreach.
NNIFP Resource Guides
NNIFP
created a number of plain-language documents to be used by IFP staff
and participants. These documents use language that can be easily
understood by anyone, including those with a low level of English
literacy. The documents developed include:
